Nov 16, 2014 - Kelowna Annual Fundraser Dinner and Dance
President of Canadian Polish Congress BC Beata Grotkowska participated in the beautiful Banquet /Dance organized in Kelowna Polish Community. Great entertainment provided by the local Polish Folk Dance Group, as well as exceptionally tasty buffet dinner prepared by the members of the organization. Congratulations and we are looking forward to next events in Kelowna, hopefully more Polonia from Vancouver area will visit next time.

Nov 09, 2014 96th Anniversary Polish National Independence Day
Polish National Independence Day started with the Anniversary Mass in St. Casimir's Church, and after that celebrations continued in Polish Combatants Club in Vancouver. Organized by Canadian Polish Congress BC in cooperation with SPK and Polish Women Federation.
This year the artistic program was prepared by Vancouver Polish Theatre, SPK, Choir 'Polish Tunes', as well as children from Polish Language Schools in Surrey and Vancouver. We are very thankful for such a wonderful program and to everyone involved in making this event a great one. We are proud of Polish Heritage and happy the traditions continue to promote our culture. Many Honorary guests attended the event. Mr. Andrew Dobrowolski, the Curator of Millennium Fund presented two students with schollarships: Veronca Jasinski and Piotr Mniszak. Mr. Attar Khan, founder member of 'Tri City Polonez Association' received Honorary Gold Canadian Polish Congress Award for his outstanding contributions to Polonia community in Try - City area.

Nov 23, 2014 - St Casimir's Parish celebrated its 70th Anniverary.
St Casimir's Church is a vital part of Polish Community in Vancouver area. This is where the immigrants got the help after arriving to Vancouver and this is where they could send their children to learn read and write in Polish language. For that reason we are very grateful and congratulate on the 70th Anniversary.

Nov 30, 2014 - 'Tango' Slawomira Mrozka presented by Vancouver Polish Theatre
The Vancovuer Polish Theatre has stunned the public with another outstanding performance. Over the three days Nov 28 (Premiere), Nov 29, and Nov 30 our Polonia community members had an opportunity to see the 'Tango' in Evergreen Theatre in Coquitlam. We are very grateful for the huge effort to stuff and all actors for making sure this event is a memorable one.
Congratulations to Director Marek Czuma, costume designer Joanna Kopplinger, actors and whole crue for your contribution to our Polish Canadian community. Nov 30, 2014 - Piano Recital of Katarzyna Musial
The Concert was organized with joined effort of 'Belweder' North Shore Polish Association and Consulate General RP in Vancovuer in Centennial Theatre, North Vancovuer. This event was intended to be a tribute to Polish Composers. In the program there were pieces by Fryderyk Chopin, Witold Lutoslawski, Zybmunt Stojowski, Andrzej Panufnik, Oskar Kolberg, Henryk Mikolaj Gorecki.
Many representatives from Canadian Polish Organizations and community were invited including Canadian Polish Congress BC.
Polish-Canadian artist Katarzyna Musial is a winner of 2011 Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition in New York, as well as prize winner at the Krzysztof Penderecki International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music (Cracow). Kay Meek Competition (Vancouver), as well as recipient of the Alban Berg Prize for outstanding merit (Vienna) and the Philip Cohen Award for outstanding performance musicianship (Montreal).
Concert was followed by a reception and CD promotion where we had a chance to purchase the work pieces performed by Katarzyna Musial. Congratulations to the artist Katarzyna Musial for her very enjoyable performance and to organizers for putting this event together.
