Janina Freyman
President of Polish Canadian Women's Federation #4 in Vancouver
Mrs. Janina Freyman is one of the most active members in Polish community and a lady with the biggest heart. She is always ready to help organize or support events in Polish Canadian community in Vancouver area.
Best known as a President of Polish Canadian Women's Federation which was was established over 60 years ago. Her mother, Jadwiga Runcewicz, was instrumental in bringing the idea of the Federation, from Montreal to Vancouver, and soon branch #4 was established. Janina Freyman is also very active in the Polish Parish of St. Casimir’s. She is also one of the organizers of the annual World Day of Migrants and Refugees, a key member of the Canadian Polish Congress BC, a Board member of the Copernicus Nursing Home Foundation, and a member of the Polish Veterans' Association in BC.
With so many involvements in various areas of the Polish Canadian community in British Columbia, Janina's presence, friendship and support touches and motivates everyone. Always with a great sense of humour and limitless dedication Janina is the best example of how friendship and honesty helps in building strong, positive, and life long relationships in our Polish community.
Janina was recognized with numerous recognition awards from the Government of Poland, the Canadian Polish Congress and the Polish Canadian Women's Federation for her exceptional contributions .
