Kopernik Lodge started with Mrs Anna Freyman and Mrs. Henryka Filipowicz, who realized the need for a home for 'Polish' Veterans and refugees in Canada. Till this day Mrs Janina Freyman as a leader of Polish Canadian Women's Federation continues the help and support  Kopernik Lodge with countless hours of volnuteer work and donated funds. What an amazing tradition.
