Polonia in British Columbia is Celebrating Canada's 150th in style with Monica Sowinski, Ryszard Wrzaskala and guests
On August 26th took place a beautiful concert marking Canada's 150th Anniversary. This musical tribute featured Monica Sowinski - soprano class and well known local Polish Canadian composer Ryszard Wrzaskala. What a great combination. Monica with a lot of grace and talent was singing the best pieces written and composed by Ryszard.
The title song 'Beautiful and Free' was also featured as one of the 15 official songs for Canada's 150th.
Friends of Ryszard and Monica met also a dinner party following the concert in Rodos Tawerna in Port Moody. Below are the pictures from both events and interview with Monica 'On the RED couch' - the other project to celebrate 150th birthday of Canada.

In Rodos Taverna gathered friends and supporters of Monica and Ryszard.
We enjoyed very much the private concert. Thanks to all for coming but special thanks to the young and talented artists. Their presence made the concert as well as dinner even more exquisite. The biggest supporter of Monica's talent is her father Jan Sowinski. Bravo to the loving dad for going all the way in organizing both events.
